I'm reading a book set in the South. Normally when I read, I like to hear all the accents in my head. I like accents.

I am also "reading" a book set in Scotland, narrated by a person who does really good accents too. Almost as guid as the ones in my heed.

I like to read more than one book at a time. But now when I go to my paper and ink book, and try to read about these Southern people, they are all speaking with a thick brogue. I find this disorienting, as I've never actually heard a Scot say anything like "y'all."

May possibly have to rethink my reading strategy.
